Install the black and tri colour ink cartridges in the holders properly and allow the Canon IX6870 printer to install ink.
Then, press and hold the Wi-Fi button in your PIXMA IX6870 printer. The printer will flash a blue coloured light.
Now, switch on your wireless network. Connect your computer or laptop that you want to connect wirelessly to your Canon IX6870 printer to the same wireless network.
Your Canon IX6870 printer will search for your wireless network and gets connected to it.
While connecting, the green and blue light in your PIXMA IX6870 printer will light at the same time.

Canon Pixma IX6870 Printer Ink Cartridges :

The Canon PIXMA IX6870 printer consists of two ink cartridges- the one black colour ink cartridge and the other tri colour ink cartridge. Installing these two ink cartridges in the Canon PIXMA IX6870 printer allows you to print both in black and colour prints. To install the ink cartridges, follow the steps below:

Take away your Canon PIXMA IX6870 printer away from the box.
Remove the orange coloured tape that surrounds the Canon IX6870 printer.
Remove the white coloured packing material that is attached to the orange tape and to the cartridge access door.
Now, connect the power cord to your new Canon PIXMA IX6870 printer and to an electrical outlet.
Power on your Canon printer using the power button in your CANON PIXMA IX6870 printer.
At once the Canon printer is ready, open the cartridge access door situated at the front of your Canon PIXMA IX6870 printer.
Wait until the cartridge holder becomes idle.
Then, take away the black coloured ink cartridge from the packaging.
